When I was younger, I always wanted to get into cake decorating, but between work, raising a family, and taking care of a house and yard, I never had the free time. Now that I’m retiring, I decided to get this kit and play. The kit comes with every tool and more to get me started even if it’s not made of quality material. Just about everything in the kit is made of plastic except for the tips. The plastic pieces are thick and sturdy, but the smaller metal tips are thin metal and are easy to bend. The turntable also doesn’t spin smoothly.

I was surprised at just how much stuff you get in this kit - which is why I chose it. The cake turntable was easy to spin and I got the hang of it pretty quickly.I like the variety of spatulas / scrapers - playing around with those was fun. I like all the other tools as well, it'll be fun to start exploring how I can use them to achieve different designs - it reminds me a bit of pottery class.

I was in need of a cake decorating set with a variety of tools. I decided to give this one a try (mainly because of the beautiful pink color). The color is true to the photos and so adorable! The set itself has everything I needed, plus some! The quality is great for the home baker. I have used it multiple times now and everything has held up wonderfully. I definitely recommend

I told them, "We'll have to gather the ingredients and watch a few episodes of "Nailed It" before making the cake, and then proceed, to make using the tools a special occasion." ;) They got very excited over the prospect of getting a cake.My 11 y/o son actually also has enjoyed watching the episodes of cake fails because it also teaches what not to do and how the pros do it differently.He is turning out to be better and better at cooking and making new creations (like homemade pizza dough, crispy tofu, rice, pasta, baked potatoes, melted chocolate and peanut butter covered frozen grapes that taste like truffles, smoothie popsicles, etc.), and I think he has the potential to be a great chef some day, actually (so in a way, maybe pink wouldn't be the best choice overall for him, if I had to choose...but that also means more encouraging my daughters, given that he actually experiments more than them.).The turntable is smooth and easy to use, making it simple to frost the crumb layer and get an even coat on your cakes. This comprehensive kit has everything you need to successfully decorate your cakes, cupcakes, cookies, etc. I occasionally bake layered cakes for special events. Each time, I have struggled to get the frosting even without a turntable. The turntable included in this kit is perfect! The day I received the kit, I baked a 6" cake with three layers. I was able to place it on the turntable and easily add the crumb coat of frosting and the decorative layer so much faster! The piping tips are well-made and the spatulas work great without being too flimsy or bendable. Each item I've used so far has been effective and worked as intended. It's a great kit for a beginner or occasional cake baker.

I've been wanting to try my hand at cake decorating and after watching so many videos, I was thrilled to see everything in the FGASIDYO kit except the cake and fondant! The cake stand spins easily, but not so slick that it will get away from me. The tips for decorating are easy to change on the piping bags. With 100 piping bags in the kit, that's a lot of decorating! The smoothers and flower pins are a great add that I wasn't thinking would be part of any kit, but a step up extra. FGASIDYO proved me wrong and I'm not sad about it. I can't wait to bring my niece over to test it out. If she enjoys it, I know what I'm getting her for her birthday! She's been begging to take classes for a long time now. Worth every penny and this beginner decorator is very happy! Now if I can just learn how to mold penguins!

This is a good set if you occasionally decorate cakes. The items are moderate quality, there's a lot of plastic pieces. I didn't need each of the items, however the cake leveler and turnable caught my attention. There's a lot of decorating tips, however they aren't labeled so you'll have to figure out what they are. I've never used a Russian tip before, I'm excited to try that. There's two flower nails, only one standard coupler, one large coupler (6 large tips), and one Russian coupler(4 Russian tips). There is a cleaning brush for the tips, too. A bunch of disposable bags and one reusable bag are included. It's an okay set. Definitely for occasional use.
