I tried the SVNXINGTII Ethernet Dust Cover in a router, multiple Ethernet switches and computer motherboard. In every circumstance the dust cover will cover the port but does not have a good friction fit. As a result, if the device is mounted ports down, the dust covers will fall out. For top mounted ports they will work well. On side mounted ports the dust covers will stay in place but could work their way out from vibration, etc. over time. I was able to get them to fit tightly by rotating them 180 degrees (i.e.: upside down). It does take some effort to insert this way and the main concern here is that in this position they will press down on the copper pins in the Ethernet port and may cause them to be bent out of position. As a result, I do not recommend installing them upside down. I also want to note that while what I received matched the main picture in the product listing, the dust covers do not look the same as the additional pictures in the product description area of the listing.

These little rubber plugs for ethernets jacks work great. I have a lot of locations that I have wired with ethernet ports that don't exactly stay clean, like the garage. So having these plugs to cover the holes is great for keeping out sawdust or dirt. They do fit, and they do stay put, but some plugs I wish they were ever so slightly thicker so it would be more snug of a fit. Do be careful if your using compressed air around where a bunch of these are plugged in, it has the potential to blow them out of the plug.
