I remember my aunties making tea in similar hand held pots like this as a tiny tot -- when visiting the motherland, in the hills of coorg, Karnataka. They are iconic and really really cool -- anyone really into south asian or mid asian tea (and coffee) prep will be excited for these. But while the materials are nice, these are not totally perfect .... the finish is a bit off and the handle attachment could be smoother. Regardless, a good little pair for the price.

These turkish coffee pots are very well made for a two pack at only $25 USD. The only thing I don't like is that the spout is only on one side, making it more for right handed users. It looks like they ground down the edges around the mouth of the pot, I don't like that cosmetically, though they were not sharp when rubbing my fingers across them. The welding on the handles is solid, and passes my durability test. The thickness of the pot is also good, they do flex slightly when I squeeze it, but not by much. They are a little on the big side compared to some pots, though much smaller than my plug-in electric turkish pot. They are about the size of an americano style coffee mug, or about as wide as your average moka pot but a little shorter. They have just the right capacity to hold a little over an entire can of Bush's baked beans, Green Giant peas, etc. I could fit both pots side by side on one small kitchen stove burner, or one on my small plug-in burner. They make a nice camping cookpot on my low powered electric stove, though you will need to stir frequently on a full pot. Baked beans burned onto the bottom and were a pain to scrape out despite frequent stirring. Milk heated up just fine as well to prepare it for my hand frother. In general, I found that I liked using these pots for a variety of things, and not just Turkish coffee. I just did not like turning on the full sized stove for them, as it's double the size of the small pot and seems to waste energy.I don't quite have the right beans/grinder to make "real" turkish coffee, though I was able to make a pretty good approximation to it in these pots. It was just as good as my dedicated turkish pot was able to produce with the same recipe, although it took much longer to heat up. Heat conducted very fast once the stove was heated, as soon as it started to boil it died down the instant I removed it, and immediately started to boil when I sat it back down again. The handles, as advertised, never became too hot to hold. The handles were also very comfortable to hold, with the wider area flattened to be easier on the hands. The handles also make it easy to hang the pots on my large mug tree when not in use. They were easy enough to clean out too, just wide enough for me to get three of my fingers in and scrub the bottom out with soap. If anything burns on though, you will need a good scrubbing pad. If you only use these for coffee, then a little bit of soap and water is all you need. The overall quality and usefulness for this price gets 5 stars from me.
