We had to shave our 6x6 post down a little to get it to fit, but the steel is very thick. Good quality product. Robust.

I purchased these to add support in my pole barn for building out a room. As stated in other reviews, it does run tight. So you will have to take a little wood off the edge to be able to make it fit. A little tip that will help. Is we used a grinder with a grinding wheel. The first one took a while to figure out how to do it just right. When we did the second one, we were able to get it ready within a few minutes. These are super well-built. I would absolutely buy these again if I ever needed them.

I had to trim about 1/4” each of each side of 6x6. These definitely need the inside diameter to be made bigger. Glad I only had to do two posts.

Haven't used it yet, but it feels good and sturdy.

We used to install a bar in our basement. These screwed easily into the concrete floor and the bar posts fit perfectly. They are very sturdy.

I have a two legged pergola/hammock stand. It was originally held up with Stanley Strongtie post bases. A bit of a wobble. As the boards dried and twisted they leaned in opposite directions. It was fine. Until some wind over winter rocked it back and forth and bent the bases. It was rocking back and forth on the bolts. I had to lower it in spring. After some searching I got these. It required modifying my posts slightly because the "socket" on these is much deeper than a Strongtie - but that's a good thing. For bolts per base makes a very solid connection to the piles. The pergola is not moving. Both posts are perfectly vertical with no flex in the bases. The only issue was drilling 4 bolt holes perfectly aligned with the base holes is nearly impossible - there is always some drift in the bit. One base went over the bolts with the help of a mallet. I had to grind one of the holes bigger on the other one to get it down. But that's not a problem with the base - just with the install. These bases are solid.

Well made post base. I used them for a handrail on top of a concrete wall. Worked great!
