I know this is listed as a coffee carafe. However, we use it for creamer. It actually keeps the creamer cold enough to keep it out for a few hours. I think it actually keeps things hotter for longer than he keeps things cooler. However, the capacity is great and it’s sealed closed. Good purchase and it looks great.

I take coffee to a church meeting each week. The carafe that I had before was larger (2L) but didn't always seal properly. These both sealed properly and kept the coffee hot. As the description says, they have glass liners, so take that into account when use - don't get too rough or they might break.

Very loud bang when filled with water that was about 20 degrees below boiling point. The labor required to drain the water, dry the shattered glass and find a way to package the mess for return is way too much. I am disposing of the one that is still intact and will keep looking for another brand.
