Bought these posts because I had purchased some lighter weight posts about a month ago and they just didn’t hold up under tension. These posts when they came in were different - the box was heavy - the posts were a thicker metal construction - and they just felt dense compared to my previous purchase. Got them anchored into the deck, ran the tension wires up to the posts, pulled them tight, and nothing moved…. It was glorious…… No bending or giving way to the tension of our sun shade. If you need a solid solution for hanging larger and taut sun shades, this will meet your need and should hold up well under tension!

These shade pail sail poles work nicely. They are quality made and I am hopeful that they will last, even in difficult weather.

Very strong sturdy poles. They were easy to discern and assemble. Depending on your location of the poles depends on how you would need to anchor them down, once anchored they are really stable and wind resistant. The poles are thick and strong appearing, will safely hold the shade in place.

The 10-foot shade sail pole is suitable for outdoor use. The 2.4-inch diameter steel pole is strong enough to withstand wind forces and will not bend or shake easily. I use it to support the shade sail in the backyard. After installation, the effect is very good, providing good shade for the patio. The black three-ring design is very practical, which can keep the rope of the shade sail firmly fixed and not easy to loosen. The coating of the pole also feels durable, rust-proof and corrosion-resistant, and it is no problem to leave it outside even on rainy days. It is recommended to use a concrete base or ground anchor kit when fixing it, so that the stability will be better. If it is installed on the deck, it needs to be reinforced, otherwise it may shake a little in windy weather.
