One of these organizers is being used to organize pens, pencils and markers in my wife's craft room and the other is going to be used to organize makeup brushes by size. These pencil holders are all metal except for the rubber feet and they are solidly made. The mesh and edging are both sturdy and the item should last and look good for a long time, even with a lot of use. We don't see anything negative about them. They are large enough to hold a lot of pens and markers or brushes. We are very happy with them
