Unfortunately, what many other negative reviews say is true. While advertised as a perfect replacement, the flap is actually about a quarter of an inch too short. As a result, there is always a good-sized gap at the bottom and the magnet that is supposed to hold the flap down can't do its job. Don't know why such an obvious mistake was not corrected long ago; they can't possibly be saving enough in material cost for that quarter inch to make a difference..

After receiving the flap, which was the measured size, it was placed. It was very stiff and seemed to be short. We thought it would relax to fit, but it never did. The flap is a double flap weatherproof replacement of the brand and specs. But, cold air leaks due to the quarter-inch gap on the bottom, and the flap stays unsealed due to shortness and stiffness. We are an elderly retired couple on a fixed income, and we paid a good price for the flap, to help our dog go in and out, and not worry about our electric bill going up.

Needed a new Doggy door be cause out 3 Dobermans wore out the old one. This new door works as it should. Had to cut it down to fit the doorway

The Good: This price was half of the OEM (Ruffweather). I purchased the OEM before and thought I'd try the knockoff.The not so good:Its clear, flexible plastic is too stiff and doesn't hang straight down properlyMeasurements are off by just enough so it's too short (1/4 inch) to engage the dog door's magnet at the bottom.It's to wide 1/8 inch on each side so doesn't fit with the dog door sidesDue to the above, this flap does not seal to the WeatherRuff dog door allowing a breeze to flow through.I should have spent the extra money.

Firstly it was shipped rolled up, it should be shipped flat! Rolling it creates a memory in the plastic and it will not hang correctly. The rivets on the bottom were popping out on day 2. It is also a bit short, so it will not stay closed as it should.

These are great dog doors. Durable, easy to install, easy for my dog to use. Great value for the price. I love how much light they bring in too. We have a plastic cover to close, but it's been cold here lately and I don't feel a draft when the cover is off during the day. Replaced some 12 year old flaps that were much darker and thicker.
