Nice quality end mill, the two flute design prevents the material from building up on it and is ideal for cutting aluminum!

Had very good results in hardwood and birch plywood on a small tabletop CNC, clean cuts and no vibration at 5000rpm which is as fast as my mill runs.

There's a picture with checkmarks for what types of material the bits are designed to cut. Aluminum and wood aren't checked off. Yet right below it the description clearly says wood and aluminum (and other soft materials). I got them for hardwoods. The coating used on these bits is normally used when working with metal but I've had good luck with coatings designed for metal when milling wood. The bits seem to cut just fine. Being an upcut bit limits them to rough cutting where material removal is more important than a smooth cut. For a final pass I'll use a down cut or compression bit to clean up the surface. The roughing bits do a lot more cutting so they dull quicker. That means they need to be replaced more often. So getting a 5 pack for the price of one brand name bit is nice. Also if you make a mistake with your toolpath it's more likely to be when roughing. That's when you're more likely to break a bit. Again having spares is nice. Over all they seem to work just fine but I'm not a high production shop.

Product Reviewed: 1/4 Shank Cutting Mill, Carbide Square end Mill 5pk for $45TL;DR; Coated; Excellent finish; Very economicalI’ve reviewed a lot of import carbide end mills now. This version of this brand has an excellent surface finish on both the flutes and primary relief angles of the end lips. In the 5 pack these are excellent value for carbide.5 stars – see macro photos. Bench review only. How I review:Reviews start with 5 stars and I subtract points.- 0 for value but I try to provide guidance-0.5 to -3 for product not matching description e.g. stainless steel is actually plated steel-0.5 to -3 for product missing badly on executionI select products carefully so low (1-3 scores) are rare but detailed comments and critiques almost always are in the review. Most of my reviews come out 4-5 range. If possible I dismantle or destroy items to examine inner workings.

This cutters are very sharp and cut well. I'm using them for phenolic composite material and they leave a clean and precise cut and hold up very well cutting this material.

I needed to remove a screw with a sheared head from a 3D printer hotend. My drill press became a makeshift mill, and I was able to dress off the screw, flush with the surface of the part I needed to free.Works fine.

Less cutting depth than my more expensive end mills but that doesn’t matter for the shallow cuts taken by my CNC. Nice to have an option that if it breaks it doesn’t break the bank.
