These dust caps are similar to others on the market but what really sets them apart is the install tool. If you have ever tried to install these, you know how much of a pain in the rear they are. I have installed these before and the way most frequently suggested is to use a piece of 2x4 and a hammer. That sounds great until you actually try to do it. In order for these to go on and seat properly you have to orient them perfectly square with the hub. This is bordering on nearly impossible using a piece of wood or at a minimum extremely frustrating. Then you have the fear of hitting them to hard with a hammer and bending them. The tool included with these caps really makes this process so much easier! When needed in the future I will only be buying dust caps that come with one of these install tools.

These were the right size for my utility trailer. Somehow, I’d lost one of the dust caps on a hub and got this pack of 4 and replaced them all.They were a fairly simple install – much harder was getting the old caps off as they’d seized with age and wear.Just make sure they’re the diameter you want before you order.
