This splinter guard reminds me of the early Festool black splinter guard. It's more on the rubbery side than the newer translucent stuff that is more plastic, but that gives it a little more grip to the wood, and it's firm enough that it doesn't feel like it's just flopping around on the edge. I'm using it with a Festool track and it works fine. I always clean the track with acetone before applying the new guard.

This is nice thick splinter guard replacement. The adhesive stays stuck if you clean your tracks before installing
