I have two excellent electric cars at home. Every time the car runs out of power, I have to take it to an outdoor charging station, which is very inconvenient. Sometimes, the car even gets scratched by vandals, making it unsafe. This is a nice holder. The charger slips and clicks in place. You press the button on this to release it. You can angle but it's just shy of 180 which leaves it just a little angled out still. It's fine, but my space is tight and having it closer to the wall would have been perfect, but this is still better than forward facing for me.

I got this holder to mount an existing EV charging cable to my wall. The design feature that I like best, and which attracted me to this device, is that the port that you use to plug-in the end of the charging cable swivels on a 180° axis, making it much easier to mount my charging cable plug. The charging cable holder has detente at 45° 90° and 135°, which in theory is a good idea, but I found that the detents are pretty stiff, and it takes a little bit of effort to move from one detent to the next. Because the device is mounted to drywall, I’m a little concerned that over time the stiff detents will loosen the mounting screws in my drywall. Overall, if you’re just looking for a way to mount your charging cable to the wall, I think this is going to be a very good solution.

Works great and easy to install. I feel more comfortable backing out of my garage since this lets the charge and cable lay more flat against the wall.

The holder that came with my charger made the plug stick out too far from the wall. This item allowed the plug to be much closer to flush while still making it easy to insert and remove from the holder.
