Unfortunately, this item arrived with damage. It came with a dent on one side (where the handle was pushed in) and some minor abrasions of the paint which would not hinder use. An element hanger was broken, and that element was hanging too low. This would likely cause the pizza to burn on top, and cheese to melt onto this element. We fashioned a replacement part from a piece of wire which will withstand the temperatures so it's now useable.Aside from the damage, I think there's a bit of a learning curve. We like to make frozen pizzas, but we add veggies. Today we used mushrooms, sweet peppers and olives. The directions said to thaw before cooking. We did this. We think we didn't get the stone hot enough before putting the pizza on it and it stuck a lot, and the crust was soggy in the middle. I'd be inclined to use a bit of olive oil on the stone next time. The second pizza was better, probably because the stone was already hot from the first pizza. The fact that we added veggies adds moisture too, and this may have contributed to our issue of sogginess of crust in the middle. Perhaps also, the pizza was not as thawed as I had thought. There's the learning curve. I can update with the next trial. It's rather large, and it has to be to handle large pizzas. I expect to use it at my lake cottage (no oven there), or in the city in the summer, when I cook in my three season porch to avoid heating the house in hot weather.

I honestly had never thought about a countertop oven dedicated to pizza before stumbling across this one. It can be a hassle to fire up a big stove oven just for one pizza, and a device like this solves that issue. This seems loosely based on the highly successful Piezano design. The instructions say to first thaw a frozen pizza, which is fair enough. I just wish it were possible to cook a frozen pizza straight from the freezer instead of having to plot out a thaw - which might be a dealbreaker for some. To the positive, the 16" size is huge, much larger than the usual 12".It's going to take more experience to get the whole thing down, but so far, I really like this super cool pizza oven made by a company familiar with all sorts of kitchen gadgets.

This pizza oven is really easy to use. It allows you to choose the heating area, dual or just the top or the bottom. That enables me to have good control over the crispiness of the pizza. Once you get the hang of it, you can make perfect pizzas every time.
