I got this to lift some heavy items in our shop but we found that to be a bit hard with the way it is designed. I wasn't sure if we would have any other use for it, but my husband recently used it to help move boulders for a construction project. He said that it is very durable and worked great as a come along. It's easy to use for pulling and the price is still great for the quality. It is very heavy duty and secure.I do wish we could have used it as a hoist, but I am still happy with the performance.

I don't have a ton of uses for a hoist, but it's one of those great things to have when you need it. You can use it to help move heavy appliances, to pull things onto a trailer, as long as you stay within the weight limit.Note: this isn't strong enough to be recovery gear. Do not try to winch a vehicle with it.Everything arrived intact. You get two straps, gloves, the hoist itself, and a carrying case. The carrying case is a little odd in that it can't fit everything into there; I had to leave the two straps out, which is unfortunate. It's a nice little kit, and the gloves, while inexpensive, is a nice touch. The pieces all seem operational. I haven't winched anything heavy with it yet, but I think it'll do the trick. If you're in the market for a lower-weight mini hoist then this is worth getting.

This is a really good little hoist! It's not heavy duty so if that's what you are looking for, this is not it. For what I bought it for though, it's perfect. It has very good capabilities, completely versatile and very easy to use. Great product!

This chain hoist is a handy addition to my garage toolkit. The 1.5 ton capacity handles most of my lifting needs, from engine work to moving heavy equipment. The 10-foot chain gives good range, though you'll need to plan your setup carefully for vertical lifts.I appreciate the safety features like the double pawl design and swivel hooks. The galvanized chain seems durable and resists rust well. The included lifting straps and gloves are a nice bonus, though I'd recommend sturdier gloves for serious work.Operation is smooth once you get the hang of it. It's more suited for horizontal pulling than vertical lifting due to the lever design, but it's versatile enough for most jobs. At this price point, it offers good value for DIY enthusiasts and small workshops. Just don't expect professional-grade performance.Overall, it's a capable tool that gets the job done for lighter loads. For heavier industrial use, you might want to invest in a more robust model.

I bought this chain hoist to lift a motorcycle project in the garage. After attaching a strong eye bolt to the rafters, this hoist quickly and easily lifted the motorcycle off the ground. The forward/reverse controls are easy to work and the hoist crank works smoothly. Definitely much better than hanging with ratchet straps and clearly more safe. Works great!

This 3/4 ton lever chain hoist is really more of a chain come-along than a chain hoist. It's better for horizontal pulling than vertical lifting. That's not to say it cannot or should not be used as a chain hoist, it's just that you must be at the handle to ratchet the movement of the chain, whether that is horizontal or vertical. It has 10 feet of chain, so you would need to be 10 feet up from the object to operate the lever and lift it to the desired height. Not so with horizontal pulling as you can stay on the same horizontal plane as the chain and ratchet from whichever end you like, whichever is a more convenient location for you.I like this product more than the older style come-alongs. I have attached images showing an older cable come-along beside its newer counterpart. The newer version was easier to operate, whether it was switched to operate in either direction or set to free-wheel. I liked the grip/pull at the opposite end to the chain hook as it allows me to grab and pull the chain through the ratchet as much as required for the work being done (up to 10ft). I also prefer the chain over the cable as the chain will generally drop and fall if something snaps loose, whereas a cable will usually spring/fly back towards its anchored location. This spring-back effect can be dangerous.Gloves and slings included are unremarkable.I like this product and would recommend it, but cannot say it's a good value at the ~$65 US price line. You be the judge.
