This set comes in a nice compact box with instructions and all the parts seem of very good quality. I needed to repair a thread in an aluminum head and the drill bit cut very cleanly and easily. The drill bit shaft was stepped down so I could fit it in my standard Dewalt cordless drill, which was a nice surprise because the item description says it is full bore. The tap cut easily, and the coil inserts seemed good. I was able to break the tang off with needle nose pliers to keep it from falling in the hole.

The kit came on time but the 9/16 inch drill bit was a straight shank and not stepped down at the drill chuck end to a 1/2 inch so this does not fit my 1/2 inch drill, otherwise the kit meet my expectations.

I got the 14×1.25 to fix my spark plug bores on my Mazda CX9. This is the second kit where the coils are too big for my plugs even though it's supposed to fit. I feel like I'm doing something wrong.

The helicoils were definately not M14 although everything was marked M14. Bought another brand and it worked fine....couldn't use these.

Worked well fixing a damaged small engine spark plug thread.The only inconvenience (and is why I did not give it a 5 rating) is that the drill bit requires a chuck larger than 1/2". It is specified, so just be aware.
