Have them set up in 12 bamboo planter pots in the back yard, set up on a timer. They make an amazing ambiance and have been through some serious west coast rains without any issues.

The light is very bright, too much for a small house. Would have been great if it supports dimming. I have tried using transformers and also used a dimming plug, but all my effort failed.

I liked these lights when they worked. I expected them to last more than 10 months. 4 out of my 8 lights have either burned out or stopped working.

I love the lights and how well they light up the tree's.. But they are too bright for a pathway. They're so bright I can't even see the walkway when walking next to them. Do you make a cover for these lights?

Lights can do wonders for not just illuminating a area, but give it that magazine garden like look without really doing anything else to the area. We've tried solar lights in similar fashion but it was more frustrating than aesthetically good looking, especially if some worked and some didn't, so to light up our pathway to the front door we decided to do it right and get a wired setup.Installation was actually pretty straightforward using low voltage, and if you have a 12v transformer set up already it can be used with that. After a couple of weeks in our rainy weather the waterproofness of it has held up just fine. The unit in hand lends to this, as you can feel the glass and steel top is thick surrounded by a tight rubber ring.It was actually brighter than we thought it would be, giving out this crisp wide light that really illuminated the path and even added a nice glow to surrounding areas.
