I received the item on time and in excellent condition. When I opened the container and held the carafe, I noticed immediately that it was heavier than the carafe it replaced. This was welcomed as the original was rather delicate and even a bit flimsy. The additional heft of the carafe did not make handling any more difficult, as a matter of fact it actually made it easier to handle and clean.Five stars!p

The carafe fits exactly as it should. The lid is easier to put on than the original, and it also pours without drips. I think the glass may be thicker than the original as well. I am very pleased with my purchase.

The cover doesn't flip up , you have to pry your fingers thru the spout hole to remove it.. it did come off easily then, but I just found that very awkward. I actually got this to try to use it with a Toddy Coffee maker I use because the glass container it came with broke.. and I thought this might be a good replacement.. it did actually fit under it once I removed the top cover, but it's too big to just slide out.. oh well... but as far as using it conventionally it seems to be a good container and sturdy/durable.. just that awkward removal of cover is why I gave it 4 Stars....
