My uncle gave me his old JL audio subs and amp, subs were blown at the surround foam so I ordered replacements for them (12"). Came with adhesive and the foam. Fit perfectly and added weights to keep it set, overnight they were ready to use and thus far have been working. Great replacement for this issue! 5/5

I was pleased to find this option instead of just trashing my subs after foam surround dry rotted from sitting for years. It’s a bit messy to apply the glue but subs sound great.

Everything worked to a T. I upgraded from 10's to 12's and they just slap. The Instructions need to be followed word for word. And make sure the speakers are clean when applying glue.. You need less than you think. Overall 10 out of 10

I bought this kit after watching some of the companies youtube videos on How to do the repair. Seemed easy enough. And it truly was. When I ordered this kit, upon receiving it and opening it I realized it was short one of the surrounds. I contacted Springfield and Amazon about the issue and it was resolved quickly by sending me another surround. The hardest part of the repair is cleaning off the old surround debre of the backet and the cone. The way I actually did the repair was I took paint sticks and wedged them in the basket openings against the cone, so that it would actually hold the cone assembly upward for applying the surround to the cone. Once that dried I then ran a bead around the basket and pulled the paint sticks out. This allowed me to lower the cone assembly and surround onto the glue on the basket in one shot. I sat the trim ring on the surround and applied some weight to it so it would hold in place while I checked for voice coil rubbing and clearance. Once I knew I was centered and had no coil rubbing I flipped them over on the trim rings to dry. Once fully cured after 24 hours I tested them, and they were back! Glue trim rings on and put them back in there enclosure. All in all from beggining to end I would say this took about 2 hours to do. Between old surround removal, prep, and application of new surround, which requires you apply pressure around the glued joints periodically until fully cured. The glue will start to dry quickly so dont just walk away in the middle of the repair. And I still have some glue left over! This is a great product. And the company did great on taking care of the missing surround. Will highly recommend and will purchase from again in the future.
