These are great for more than just records/CDs. Ironically enough, I've got one on the side of a big vintage speaker underneath my record player and I'm using it to hold a special brush (used to gently clean a record after blowing off dust) and a small remote. Not to sound like a late-night TV pitch-man, but the possibilities are endless! I've got another on the side of another speaker and I'm using it to hold a small flashlight I'm always misplacing. You can use them for small figurines. I've got another holding a moon clip on the side of a gun rack. They are also a good size for a small pistol magazine.My gripes are small: The screws should have been black to blend in... but it's not the end of the world. Either find some black screws or deal with the contrast and put something in front of the shiny screw. If you use two sticky pads in the middle, they slightly cover a bit of a screw hole. No biggie. Trim it or ignore it. The protective film is easy to remove on the inside of the shelf, but on the back part, it's a bit of a pain... keep at it and you'll be rewarded with a shiny black smooth surface. They even include a helpful note to tell you to remove the film from both sides just in case you might think your shelves are all scratched up or dull looking.All in all these are great little shelves and a good deal considering you get 12 with 24 sticky pads, anchors, and screws (albeit shiny ones that don't stick to my magnetic driver). I recommend these if you could use a few or a bunch of little shelves.
