The only fault I could find is that the Wire through the mop is kind of spindly. It takes a fair amount of axial Force to push it through a 34 inch barrel. The actual mop diameter is large enough to get a thorough cleaning but If you are not careful to keep the rod aligned with the axis of the bore, you will bend the threaded connection at the brush. It can be made larger because a 12 gauge bore is pretty big and there would be no danger of scratching the bore or chamber with a stronger wire inside.

These work great - way better than a small mop. I have used the full-length tico-tool type of barrel swabs, and these - they work about the same - the nice part of this, is that it can be unscrewed from the cleaning rod and stored in a relatively compact tube to keep from getting black carbon/plastic/oil etc all over every item near your bench or in your gun case etc.

It left so much fuzzies behind I had to clean the barrel with a bore snake after wiping down the barrel with the mop.
