Great for long term storage of 4-6 inch pistols inside a case or safe. Can protect the finish from scratches or oxidation.

I like the fact that it's thick enough to protect from minor impact while the pistol is in storage. It's also coated with silicone to protect the pistol from rust while it's in storage . It's not fancy but it does its job and it takes up a lot less room than most gun rugs. I think it's cheap insurance against rust and nothing destroys a gun's value like rust. I think it's perfect for the pistol I keep in the small safe in my house with no zipper the pistol just slides out quickly if I need it. I like it it has its place and I use it.

Nice soft protective pouch fits my Beretta 92 nicely. Durability will take time to determine but it looks well made.

I don't find that my range bag provides enough protection for my firearms on the side pockets. These socks are a simple way to provide a second layer of protection. Simple and economical!

When I saw this, I was attracted to another protective 'layer' for a hand gun so I got it.It resembles the outline of a handgun - not unexpected. It is a bit oversized for a carry firearm but would still fit most of the pistols on the market (exceptions being the long barreled ones).There is a flap at the rear of the cover that secures with a hook-n-latch process. While there is a 'specific' place to put the hooks, they will also cling to the fabric of the cover allowing you to 'customize' it.Inside the cover is a 'furry' material which I expect is impregnated with the silicon based material that helps protect the firearm. Inserting/removing the hand gun did not encounter any instances where that material 'snagged' on it. There is a 'feature' that requested a rating - stretch. I didn't force anything into the material to measure the stretch of it. In my typical use, it fit well around the fire arm and I would actually test the 'stretch' of it. It was able to fit snugly and that is what I wanted/expected.After putting the handgun into the cover, I did check to see if it still fit into the holster and my combinaiton fit well. You may or may not find this works for your combination.I do protect my investments and this is an economical means of doing that for your hand gun. 5 stars.

This sack is strictly for protecting guns in your safe, not during transport. The fabric is much thinner than other gun socks I own. It doesn't feel very durable.. It'll keep dust off and that's about it. It does have some silicone oil, which keeps it at three stars rather than two.Size wise, it'll hold most full sized pistols but probably not long-barrels hunting revolvers. The Velcro strip holds it closed decently. At $9 this would be a steal but $12.99 seems a bit too much for it.

I have a 9mm that I had been using a literal sock to wrap and protect. This pistol sock is made of good gray material, and is a bit thicker / heavier than the hiking sock I was using. The interior is soft, almost plush, like you might find as the lining of a moccasin. The exterior is more of a tightly woven material, with a denim-like Appearance but softer and not as stiff.The fold-over flap is secured with a sewn, centered strip of velcro 1.48" across and 3/4" high. Another reviewer indicated that the velcro would also stick to the exterior material, but I did not find that to be the case with mine.A larger version of the pistol sock, designed to contain a long-gun, might have more elasticity (stretchability), but this smaller version is not particularly stretchable. Regardless, I am happy with this pistol sock and I am very likely to buy some for my other handguns.

This gun sock fits large frame sizes like a 1911 with not trouble. The texture is not the same as their other gun socks. It is not stretchy and the inside is fuzzy instead of being the same as the outside. It says it still contains silicone but it doesnt really feel like it. On the others you can feel it.
