I honestly have never seen this kind of connection before, but then I bought a Harley. I went through several headlights when I noticed that a few of these were missing from the headlight housing. They must have come loose and fallen off. I saw this product available the same day, what luck!! They fit tighter and feel more secure than the OEM ones that came with the motorcycle. If you need these for the same reason I did, or a kayak or whatever else uses them then I highly recommend this product!!

This well nut fit the need for an ongoing project where two mating surfaces needed dampening between them. The brass inserts are inserted very well and there were no manufacturing errors on any of the pieces I received. The screws are also well done, gliding through the insert without any hitching.

These work as expected. The bolts are stainless and move smoothly, and the the rubber expands as expected.

These well nuts have a soft neoprene rubber boot with brass insert. The screws and inserts have a no visible defects and thread nicely together. The pack contains a good number of well nut sets in 3 common sizes, so it should cover my needs for a very long time. I can't speak to the longevity yet, but the initial quality looks good and they're a great value. My only concern is with the consistency in construction. As pictured, some of the M6 brass inserts don't look perfectly centered in the rubber boot while the M4/M5 boots look a little messy on the brass end. Given the price, I can't complain, but something I noticed. The case is basic but has a nice flip up hanger, so it's easy to keep these handy on a peg board.

I've attached accessory rails all over my kayak, along with other miscellaneous things like fishing rod holders, clips, anchors, etc.,Typically, most accessories come with just sheet metal or wood screws and they want you to simply screw them directly into your plastic kayak. Yeah, that works, but it's not always the most attractive way to do it.Then I found aluminum rivets worked really well for stuff that needed very strong connections. Rivets are more permanent that most methods, so I try not to use them as much, but still do for handles and padeyes. The best thing for most other accessories are WELL NUTS and this package is perfectly sized for kayak accessories. They're so snug and very waterproof, and feel great! The only drawback that I've found to well nuts is that you need a bit bigger hole made (bigger than a screw pilot hole, bigger than a rivet hole), so if you ever remove he well nut, you'll have a bigger hole left over than any other method. With that in mind, just be sure to measure and test your position 2 or 3 times, don't make errors in placement. One of the neatest fastener inventions to come out lately!

These well-nuts aren't particularly cheap at $10 a dozen, but the price isn't out of line with similar offerings. They appear to be well made. I regard well-nuts as essential fasteners in kayaks that are meant to be dry inside, or to have sealed dry storage areas.

Well nuts are a special type of expanding fastener that are especially useful in kayaks and other applications around water. When you tighten them, the rubber scrunches up, forming a tight and waterproof seal. They are ideal for hollow surfaces such as plastic and fiberglass. And they are hard to find, so you can’t beat this set of 60 of them! They are nicely organized in the case and appear to be well made.

I use well nuts all the time on my kayak, so like to have some on hand at all times. The Mrosnail neoprene well nuts seem like they are made from good quality materials and the neoprene folds upward nicely to form a tight seal against the kayak wall. These well nuts definitely work better than just the plain screws that most of my kayak accessories use to secure them.
