A large amount for the price, great for using in the microwave in glass fusion. Them being round makes them even handier becuase they just fit without needing to be adjusted. Great!

I used these to fuse glass in a small glass kiln - not a microwave kiln. They are great for small projects like jewelry and tests. I placed the smooth side up and used a small shelf to support the sheet in the kiln. If I carefully removed the piece I could reuse the sheet another time - depending on if the glass picked up too much of the paper with it.I will be using them in a microwave kiln for a microwave raku class in a few months (ceramics). These will work perfectly for that. These are cheap enough that I'm going to use them in my glaze tests to protect my shelves from runs.

Both round and square kiln paper sheets are included in this review which were ordered from the same seller.My wife uses these in fusing glass. She wrote :”These work great for the microwave kiln. The round ones fit well in the base of both the regular and larger microwave kiln. Both shapes are easily cut with scissors for smaller projects. They work equally well in regular kilns.I keep some on hand for small kiln projects. I like the convenience of pre cut paper when teaching groups so everyone can assemble their creation on the paper. It makes placing them in the kiln less stressful. They can even use a little clear glue to hold it on the paper so nothing slides around.This fiber blanket is thick enough to use in kiln carving. I used a paper punch to cut out small shapes from the paper. Put the shapes on top a of square of fiber paper with my glass squares on top. The glass slumped around the shapes, leaving an impress on the bottom layer. (Photo 1)I also cut out a small bee shape which I painted with glass paints. (Photo 2). I positioned it between a colored piece of glass and a clear one and put it in the kiln. The result is a pendant with a colorful bee sandwiched in the glass with no distortion.This fiber blanket has a grid pattern on one side and a smoother surface on the other side. The product has no instructions on which side to use. Some other types have a logo which goes on the bottom side. I test fired two pieces, one smooth side up and the other grid side up. As noted in kiln carving above, the glass will pick up the pattern on the underside. Neither allowed the glass to stick to the kiln which is the main purpose of the product. You will want to fire smooth side up for the best surface on the bottom of your project.I noticed an increase of small spikes on the glass pieces fired on the fiber blanket vs other kiln paper products I use. (Photo 3)They can be filed down if they pose a problem. In a full size kiln, a slower than usual ramp may reduce the spikes. It is difficult to control in spikes in the microwave kiln. The glass fired on the fiber blanket also took longer to round out the edges.The seller noted that they were single use. Using clear or transparent glass on the bottom and carefully removing the project, I can sometimes get two firings. There seems to be less of the product clinging to the product than I see in the newer formulation of one of the kiln papers I have used.This a good purchase if you regularly use the microwave kiln to fuse glass or work on small projects. The product came in 10 small packages of ten in a box for a total of 100 sheets. “

The glass always melts through this ceramic paper into the firebrick, so my firebrick is slowly being destroyed.
