  • The turbo pressure tester kit is designed to check turbo system leaks or cooling systems pipe of most cars and light trucks, help you easy to troubleshoot turbo leak, and find the leak location
  • The boost leak tester kit include 4 pairs stepped adapters, use to block up intake hose and exhaust hose. They can work on 1.38''-3.54'' diameter hose, adapters O.D. range: 1-3/8", 1-9/16", 1-3/4"; 1-31/32", 2-1/8", 2-3/8"; 2-1/2", 2-3/4", 3"; and 3-1/8", 3-3/8", 3-1/2", providing comprehensive coverage
  • By blocking the output side and air intake of the turbo, inflating the system with low-pressure regulated workshop air can check and locate leaks in vehicle turbo boost systems, and locate pressure loss easily by manual or leak spray
  • The boost leak tester comes with a 0-6bar (0-87 psi) pressure gauge, it could precise measurement the pressure inside the hose. It has a pressure regulator, pull it up and turn it to adjust pressure you need, press down to lock. It also has a pressure relief valve to prevent over pressure. If pressure is too high, you can reduce air pressure by pulling pressure relief valve (automatic pressure relief above 2.5Bar)
  • The leak down tester set includes: pressure gauge, pressure relief valve, air connector and US type air inlet (Comes with two additional air intakes: EU type air inlet & JP type air inlet), with 4 pairs of step adapters. Tips: Best to use with an air compressor with a holding tank; Don't over-pressurize, which may damage the components of the engine

Operation

1. Select the correct air inlet adaptor and plug adaptor by first measuring the hose diameter.

2. Set regulator of tester to 5psi to check for large leaks with valve, open and with the air coupling disconnected.

3. Plug the outlet of the system with the appropriate blank end adaptor.

4. Connect the inlet adaptor, set at 5psi, to the system inlet.

5. Connect the air coupling to check for leaks at the pre-set (5psi). If a leak is identified audibly or if the pressure gauge pointer falls, it indicates that the system has a fault resulting in loss of pressure. Repair the leak and retest.

6. If no leaks are evident, regulate pressure to 10psi and repeat 5.3.5; Regulate pressure to a maximum of 15psi or to the maximum pressure and retest as in 5.3.5.

7. If the gauge pointer remains stationary for one minute it will indicate that the system is in good working order.

8. Release the pressure in the system by rotating the ball valve lever to align with hose axis.

9. Disconnect the quick coupler.
