We upgraded our long hair cat's grooming kit to include some Andis AGC2 clippers last year, and finally ditched the name brand (but lower end) clippers that depended on plastic guards for different cutting lengths. The addition of these 4FC blades from HONGNAL make an undeniable difference to both the duration of the grooming session and the quality of the end result. With the old clippers and plastic guards, trimming our cat's coat took 2.5-3 hours, which we often had to split across two sessions to minimize the stress to our cat (and to keep her from chopping our arms off with her claws). The HONGNAL 4FC blades lowered the grooming time to a single 1 hour session, and they cut as well as the Andis-branded ceramic blades we own. The cat didn't even get mad. We're still not professional groomers, but at least she doesn't look like she got a lockdown-inspired haircut anymore.

As a professional groomer, I go through blades somewhat quickly and it's pretty easy to tell from the get-go if a blade is junk or not. I used these on a 12 year old shih tzu mix with a very weird, mixed fur texture and the cut came out very smooth and even. I'm quite pleased with these blades so far and I'll be sure to update as I use them more.Side note: I didn't read the packaging close enough, so I was very happily surprised when I opened the box and saw there were two blades instead of one!

As a professional pet groomer I go through a lot of A5 clipper blades. I am so grateful to have found these on Amazon and have them arrive sharp and ready to cut straight out of the packaging. I used one of these blades today on a groom I did and it left such a smooth cut.

Easiest way to leave a bit of length while making them look a little less shaggy. I will clip “with” the hair to leave it a bit longer as well. Doing it that way will leave a few stray hairs that don’t get cut the same length. I’m by no means a professional dog groomer. I am however a person who has clipped my own dogs for years to save money.

30 blade won’t cut

I bought the packs of 30, 4f, & 5f bladesThe 4 & 5 work just fine, nice for the price especiallyThe 30 wouldn’t cut though coat. Almost like it needed to be sharpened. Tried both blades in the pack & neither worked.Rated a 3 star since the other blade packs work just fine.
