Updated 24hr later - well, someone else was right about this fitting. It is NOT 1" NPT thread. Not sure what it is. However, I was able to use brute force, a vice and a pipe wrench with a long cheater bar to 'rethread' it to make a true 1" NPT coupling fit. I got it 5 threads deep on the non-NPT fitting. It's not holding pressure or fluid - it is used for my generator's exhaust flow, so not a show stopper. Backed the coupling off, cleaned it up, put on a liberal mount of exhaust sealer and retightened it. Will it work? Yes. Is this product listing correct? No. Was an excessive amount of time and labor spent to make it work? Yes. My advice: FIND ANOTHER PART- - - - - -Finally got my Westinghouse generator from Amazon after a 2+mo product backlog. Now the shed building is in full swing. You NEED this part to hook up an extended exhaust to the generator. Remove the current cap end and screen and toss away the too short bolts. You will need (2) 5mm-.8x20mm long bolts. Use some washers, as the bolt heads fall through the flange of the new stub. Yes it's a wide open hole, but better to fit multiple generators, right? You'll need 2 new bolts and washers. Some folks have commented the NPT 1" end really isn't NPT....maybe metric. (Updated: THEY WERE RIGHT) Happy building!

First off, not sure if this flange works with the predator as the headline implies, but this is almost an OEM add-on for the Westinghouse 9500 generator. Fits perfectly over the existing spark arrestor and screen. You will need to add longer screws to cover the thickness of the new flange and gasket. The original screws are too short, The correct size screw, at least in my application, was the M5 -.08 x 25 screw. Only problem is the head on this screw is not large enough to prevent it from sinking through the flange hole when tightening. The workaround? A pack of 1/4" flat washers. About a dollar at the home centers. Simply place one of these washers on top of the flange, insert the screw and tighten. Add a 1" threaded NPT pipe (I got this at Amazon too) to screw onto the threaded flange nipple and you got a generator muffler system. There are other options at this point, but you've got the flange to connect it too.

Nothing worse than waiting 2 days for a part only for it to not fit. Does not fit the Predator 420/459cc. Returned for refund.

This is NOT NPT threaded. Highly disappointed. Just like another reviewer, I had to use a pipe wrench to crank down my female adapter onto this male end. Just like they said, find something else.
